Ballinrobe Census 1901
Main Street
By Mary Coyne
Main Street, 1901
The 1901 Census of Ireland was carried out on the night of 6th April.
For each person present in the household the census lists name, age, sex, religion, relation to head of household, birthplace, occupation, literacy, martial status and specified illnesses as well as the person’s ability to speak Irish.
Main Street, as per the census appears to include part of Bowgate Street. Unforunately, the house reference number would appear to be assigned randomly.
