St. Patricks Day Parade, Ballinrobe, Sunday 20th March 1988

Some photo memories of St. Patricks day parade on a rainy Ballinrobe Sunday in March 1988. According to the Western People of March 30th 1988 via www.irishnewsarchive.com It seems the parade was postponed from St. Patricks day to the following Sunday. Unfortunately I didn’t get to experience this one, happily drowning the shamrock in some Dublin hostelry at the time, I suppose. Oh the joys of youth! My Dad on the other hand had his camera to hand and the foresight to record these 1988 moments for us to enjoy 35 years later. Happy St. Patricks Day 2023.
